Welcome to Mustang Robotics!

Join a team of enthusiasts who design, build and program Lego-based robots to perform autonomous “missions” on a playing field. They also apply science, engineering, and math concepts, to develop solutions to real-world challenges. The FIRST Competition is an all rounded educational approach where students learn to create and program robots, solve missions on a gaming field; and also conduct a project on a real-world issue. They further learn community outreach, presentation skills, mentoring, and a wholesome approach to science and technology.

At the Middle school level, the robotics program is available at two competition levels – FIRST Lego League (FLL) & FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC). More information on these levels and their requirements is explained under the tab ‘competition levels’.

Mustang Robotics is a parent lead activity outside of school hours. Students do all the work, build a robot, program it, research on their project, and so on. Parents do not need to know exact coding. However, parents do need to provide the framework of meetings,  know the rules, arrange short field trips, and guide the kids through the competition. Meetings are run between the parent coaches and students, not all parents are needed at each meeting.
